Our Storytellers

Jessica Crotty
Tattoo Artist, Owner
Jessica grew up around tattooing, and her admiration for the craft never faded.
Living a life dedicated to creating art has always been her hopeful dream—not just for herself, but in service to others, crafting meaningful pieces for people to carry with them.
She believes in cultivating a well-rounded skillset in tattooing. She sees the combination of artistry in various mediums, mindful client connection, continuous learning, curiosity, and respect for the craft itself as key elements. These factors make tattooing a lifelong passion and gift.
After receiving her Bachelor’s of Arts in Psychology and studying studio art in college, Jessica built a portfolio and began her tattoo journey in 2015, never looking back.
The shared experience and intention between artist and client is tremendously important to Jessica. With a trauma-informed background, her approach helps ensure clients feel a sense of comfort and safety, empowerment, trust, fun, and participation in the creative process.
Aiming to be well-rounded and genuinely enjoying multiple styles of tattooing, she has a personal passion for styles and subject matters that include but are not limited to: large-scale black and grey and blackwork compositions, ornamental-focused work, sacred geometry, neo-traditional with bold colors, illustrative, the occult, botanical and nature, mythology, mastectomy work, and Japanese-influenced work. Her focus is to create tattoos for people that will stand the test of time, and to cultivate a space where clients feel at home.
Jessica does rotations of flash drops with personal designs and concepts, and takes submissions for custom work. Details are shared on Instagram in regards to when books are open to new projects. Clients can reach out to her directly via email at Jessicacrottytattoo@gmail.com for any questions about the booking process.

Josh Crotty
Tattoo Artist, Owner
Beginning his tattoo career in 2007, Josh Crotty has expanded his knowledge of tattooing to offer the best he can for his clients.
Exploring and becoming proficient in many different styles, he can create beautiful photorealism, bold traditional, successful cover ups, or even fine line tattoos. If you’re looking for color or black and grey, Josh is comfortable and confident with both. Having well over a decade of experience has given him the knowledge to design tattoos that will stand the test of time.
If you’re in the process of deciding what you truly want for your tattoo, Josh is well-rounded and comfortable talking through an idea and creating a design while being honest about the integrity of the piece. His focus is to help you feel at ease during the process while in Fable Grove to ensure you can leave with a tattoo you will feel connected to for a lifetime.
On a personal level, Josh has a passion for taking on pieces that have an interesting story and utilizing special details to help showcase that for clients. This stems from an ongoing love of the stories and meanings within traditional Japanese tattooing. Whether it’s a tattoo with deep personal meaning or an original flash design, all tattoos have a story behind them.
Josh is continuously pushing his limits during the process in order to offer his personal best for each person in his chair. Some of the stories we choose to showcase on our bodies carry the memories of loved ones, places we have traveled, military ranks, respecting culture or heritage, homage to mythical tales, favorite books, games, or even movies. The subjects are endless, and they all have a connection to the person who wears them! Therefore, Josh enjoys focusing on creating original pieces to help tell the story for each individual person who wears them, no matter how small or large the piece.
